Here you will find when the season runs, how to read the forecast, where you can look up in the city without a tour, what to wear, and which tours are available, from a bus safari to a private hunt.
The site is available in German and five additional languages. It is written first in German.
How we research
Every number on our pages comes from a source we link to at the bottom of the page: official sources such as Visit Tromsø, the Norwegian Space Weather Centre NOSWE, or climate data from NOAA. Information about tours, that is duration, languages, services, and starting prices, is taken from the offers on GetYourGuide. If a source does not provide something, we do not write it.
The northern lights cannot be guaranteed. That is why we also tell you when a tour is unlikely to deliver and what alternative you have.
